Laing O’Rourke was awarded a key contract by CBH Group to deliver the Cranbrook Rail Load Out Project. Upgrades at the Cranbrook site include extending the length of the rail siding to allow 60-wagon trains to be loaded off the main line in four hours. The infrastructure upgrades are expected to increase the monthly grain export capacity by 164,000 tonnes.
The electrical scope of work featured procurement, fabrication, and construction works, including but not limited too electrical, instrumentation, hazardous area equipment, inspections and commissioning. Qetra was engaged to provide construction and commissioning management to drive the project to a successful completion.
Qetra held the electrical licence and provided statutory supervision for this project in accordance with Australian standards and regulations.
